Kris and I went to the Sunken Gardens and she was helping me with the techniques and tools to use when photographing the waterfalls when we go to Michigan in a couple of weeks. I was using a polarizer and 8 stop ND filter stacked. What a fun time practicing on the fish, makes for some neat abstract photos. I was able to get the silky water effect I wanted on the waterfall also, I hope I am will be able to remember everything and have success on vacation!
I went with Jen to the park yesterday, it was her first visit. Things were so dry, there were very few flowers, the ponds were really low and we only saw one butterfly. There is a new lookout that has a deck you can go out on on one of the ponds and they had two eagles in the aviary. Still was a nice day but will be looking forward to next spring, hopefully we will recover from this years drought.
